Most days at a machine are simple for the user; for operators, the rules behind that moment aren’t. Different sites want different benefits, and one rigid setup rarely fits all. That’s why we’ve added a small but important change to QuickPik: you can now add two different bonus types to the same group and choose whether they apply together or one after the other. It sounds modest; in practice, it lets you match real buying patterns instead of forcing one rule everywhere.
Here’s how it works
In Vendon Cloud, you set the benefits—daily, weekly, or monthly; with usage caps; even limited to certain products or machines. With the new option, a team might receive a free morning drink and, once that’s used, a percentage discount for the rest of the day. Or a fixed monthly credit can sit alongside a product-specific discount. You pick the order, press save, and the changes go live without a site visit. The system won’t let you choose combinations that clash.

The payment flow stays familiar
A person opens QuickPik at a vending or fully automatic coffee machine, scans the QR code, chooses an item, and pays. They can spend from a topped-up balance, load funds with a linked payment card, or—if the site prefers—use an NFC/MiFare employee card for the same benefits. Every purchase and top-up appears in Vendon Cloud straight away and can be exported for invoicing or audits. If a Vendon vBox is installed, no extra reader is needed.

Straightforward use cases
- A corporate HQ wants predictable costs and a fair treat: set three free coffees a day for staff, then a snack discount to guide choices.
- A hospital wants nights to look different from visiting hours: pair a small free item rule with an after-rule discount.
- A campus wants employee benefits in staff areas, quiet-hour extras for students between lectures, and regular pricing for visitors paying by card or cash.
One setup, three audiences, all managed in one place—and all visible by site, machine, and hour.

“Unattended retail is moving to software-first payments that people bring with them,” says Vendon CEO Kristians Vēbers. “We’re building QuickPik to be that everyday option—light to adopt, steady across mixed fleets, and focused on real choice without extra complexity.”
QuickPik isn’t here to replace cash or cards
QuickPik adds a lane many users already expect, while giving operators cleaner records and fewer loose ends. Scan, apply the right extras, and move on—the machines stay the same, but the management gets easier.

“Our goal with this release was practical control,” adds Emīls Miglinieks, Vendon IT Project Manager. “Two bonus types in one group sounds simple, but it lets operators shape benefits to each site without workarounds—and see the impact in Vendon Cloud the same day.”
