We kept getting calls from the same location: โcard payments arenโt working.โ But every time we went there, everything worked.
So we checked the history in Vendon Cloud. Thatโs when it clicked โ the errors werenโt constant. They showed up in short bursts at specific times, then disappeared again.
Once we could see the pattern, we went there during the same window, reproduced the issue, and fixed the real cause.
After that, the calls stopped.
Vendon helped us
catch vandals. Literally.
We had machines in a public park getting vandalized. Same trick every time: they cut the power first, then broke in.
We decided to use Vendon telemetry to catch the vandals. We involved the police and agreed on a simple plan โ the moment we receive a power loss alert from that location, we act.
Finally, one night the alert came in. We, together with a police, reacted straight away, and they were caught during the attempt.
Turns out cutting the power doesnโt mean nobody sees you.
Route planning helped us bring
fuel costs back under control
We had one guy running the route for years. He knew the machines.ย When he left, fuel costs jumped from โฌ3k to โฌ6k. The new guy didnโt know the patterns, so he played it safe and visited more often than needed.
Thatโs when we started using Route planning in Vendon Cloud. We started to built the route for new employee using real machine data.ย After that, we cut the extra stops and fuel costs went down again.
What I like about Vendon Cloud is that it takes the route knowledge out of one personโs head and puts it into the system. Even when people change, the logic stays.
